Overview

This safari itinerary covers; Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Tarangire National Park. A wildlife adventure safari to Kenya and Tanzania’s most popular, exotic and finest wildlife Areas.  Maasai Mara Game Reserve and Serengeti National Park; are popularly termed as the Jewel Parks of Kenya and Tanzania and home to different kinds of African wildlife including the Big Five, Ngorongoro Conservation Area well known for game drives at the floor of the crater. Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara (Approximately 5 hours)

You will be picked by our driver at 7 o’clock from your Nairobi hotel or residence and immediately depart for Maasai Mara. There will be one stop over to view the Great Rift Valley. You will arrive in Mara at lunch time. Enjoy lunch then relax before your afternoon game drive at 4pm until evening. Return later to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 2: Maasai Mara – Full day

Spend this day with game drives in search of the big five and many other wildlife that inhabits this beautiful savannah land. This is a game drive that starts as from 8a.m till evening. There will be picnic lunch on the banks of Mara River.
Optional activities: Hot air balloon, a visit to Maasai village & guided nature walks.
Overnight: Mara Sopa Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Transfer to Serengeti

Have breakfast then depart for Serengeti passing through Isebania border. Carry packed lunch with you from the lodge because you will arrive at the park past lunch hour. Have a game drive as you enter the park and later drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 & 5: Serengeti – Full day

Spend these 2 days enjoying game drives within the Great Serengeti. Serengeti is home to Africa’s Big Five. There will be picnic lunch on both of the days.

Optionally, have a morning game drive until lunch time then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch relax by the pool area before another game drive at 4pm until dusk.

Day 6: Serengeti - Ngorongoro

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a short stop at Olduvai Gorge. Enjoy an introductory game drive as you arrive at the crater on the way to the lodge. There will be no other game drive so spend the remaining hours at leisure enjoying a walk around the surrounding areas and exploring the lodge’s facilities.

Ngorongoro is quiet unique as its physical protection from man makes its natural beauty rank it among the most pristine wildernesses on earth. It has been also declared a world heritage site and is the largest intact crater in the world.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Full day

After breakfast, check out of the lodge with packed picnic lunch and depart for a tour of the crater floor, which is home to numerous plains game and the big five. Spend the day within the crater and have lunch at one of the famous picnic spots in the park. In the evening you will return to the lodge which is strategically perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, with some of the most magnificent views of the crater floor.

Day 8: Ngorongoro – Arusha - JRO

Have an early breakfast and then immediately depart for Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at your hotel or the JRO airport for your out-bound flight.
