Meet and assist by African Outback Wildlife Safaris representative on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or depart from hotel. Transfer to Mt. Kenya driving though the fertile and scenic land formally part of the historical ‘White Highlands’ to the shadows of the world famous Mount Kenya. On a clear day you will be able to see the magnificent Mount Kenya in its full splendor. Arrive in time for lunch at the hotel followed by time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. After breakfast, drive across the equator towards the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, have an extensive game drive in the park that takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge or Flamingo Hill camp. Meal Plan: (Full Board).
After breakfast you will drive to Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon enjoy a boat ride and a walk on Crescent Island. Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge or Lake Naivasha Resort. Meal Plan: (Full Board).
Depart from Lake Naivasha after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world renowned Maasai Mara Game Reserve (The jewel park of Kenya), arriving at the camp/lodge in time for lunch. After a sumptuous lunch, depart for an afternoon game drive in the reserve until evening. Overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or Sentrim Mara Camp. Meal Plan: (Full Board).
Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600hrs respectively relaxing by the swimming pool in between the free hours. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti and its rolling plains are home to hundreds of plains game together with predators that feed on them.
Options (at extra fees): You can enjoy an early morning balloon ride where you see the migration from the sky (between July and October) and there after enjoy a fully onsite cooked champagne breakfast right in the middle of the African savannah. In the afternoon, you have an option spending some time with the Maasai in their village and learn about their culture and how they live. Later join the dancers donning their African regalia with jingling feet, flow the rhythm of African music and dance to their tunes that will leave you refreshed. A full day is spent game viewing and exploring this natural wonder with a visit to the Mara River where the wildebeest migration takes place. Here you can see both the hippos and the crocodiles that co exist in the same waters.
The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s most popular safari destination and for good reasons. It is a vast reserve of endless flat grassland crossed by rivers which play host to wildlife’s most spectacular moments. Its biggest spectacle is the Wildebeest Migration when the big herds of Wildebeest descend into the park bringing in their trail mighty predators. In Maasai Mara during the migration choose a spot by the river and watch as crocodiles and lions compete to capture strugglers from the clattering herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River. After breakfast depart for Nairobi. On arrival, lunch at a world renown Carnival restaurant. The balance of the day can be spent at leisure, for your last minute shopping or relax in at a day room (extra cost). Later transfer to the airport for your home bound flight. Meal plan: (Lunch).
