Our team of consultants has traveled extensively to all of our destinations and offers a wealth of in depth knowledge. Their first hand experience enables us to design a holiday tour that matches your individual travel needs with the best there is to offer. We are committed to excellence in customer service and provide you with much more than a click-and-book web travel service. We’re also a 100% bonded tour operator.
Traveling by road is always a fascinating experience and you also see a lot more of a destination. We use 7 seat capacity mini buses and jeeps that are well driven and maintained to high standards. All our transport has an open hatch roof for 360 degrees view on game drives. Flights (or air) are recommended as a quick and easy way to cover holiday tours for those who cannot drive for more than a few hours for various reasons or have a busy schedule but would like to join in the fun of the adventure. We’ll advise you on the best mode of transport for any itinerary you choose.
Are you unsure of how to choose a suitable accommodation? We offer accommodations to suit all tastes and budgets.
Accommodation on your tour can range from western-style 5* hotels and fabulous beach resorts to charming boutique properties, luxury tented camps and adventure camps, to rustic lodges and other unique accommodation in the destination you are traveling to – the choice is yours. Enjoy the best of both worlds with a bespoke mix of accommodation – perhaps a lodge one night and a tented camp the next, a deluxe hotel with lavish amenities and then a night or two in an intimate boutique hotel.
Spice up your safari.
You know where you want to go, what you want to see and where you want to stay but there might be a special excursion or activity you want to add to make this vacation trip the most memorable of all. If you’re in the Masai Mara you may consider an early morning hot-air balloon ride floating over the endless plains as the resident wildlife spring into life and there after a fully cooked champagne breakfast in the middle of the wild or a boat ride in the lake with hippo swimming all around you and the fish eagle swooping down the water to scoop a fish or a walk among giraffe and wildebeest on Crescent Island … the range of experiences can be just as diverse as the tour destinations so whether it’s food, wildlife or outdoor pursuits that you’re interested in, decide whether you want to incorporate that into your holiday safari and our team will give you expert advice.
Pace of travel.
Are you happy with a fast-paced tour vacation visiting as many sites as possible with guided touring each day or do you prefer a more relaxed pace ? If your list of holiday destinations includes the beach and national parks, we prefer you start with the touring and end with time at leisure on the beach. The more places included on your itinerary the more time spent traveling and checking in and out of hotels and parks. If relaxed is the speed you’re aiming for, consider fewer places allowing more time at each destination for example two to three days at each. In the parks of East Africa this means more game viewing and more relaxing.
Where you spend each night can be just as important as what you do each day so it’s good to have a clear idea of what you’re expecting of your accommodation. Hotels range from affordable 3* properties to opulent 5* properties that may eat up a fair chunk of your budget but offer the best in luxury and comfort while camps offer cheaper rates. Choose accommodation that suits your holiday budget.
To get the most out of your destination it’s always best to travel with a guide. A passionate, knowledgeable guide can provide you with invaluable information and will also be your driver and accompany you throughout your journey. We provide a knowledgeable, well experienced guide for all our tours. Touring can be prohibitively expensive so where available you may wish to consider join-in tours, which not only keeps costs down but also gives you the opportunity to meet other travelers.
Other ways to make your budget go further is to look at traveling in low season. The weather may not be at its best but there will always be something to see and something to do, usually without the crowds and with tour packages, hotel room rates slashed and everything much quieter.
Do you want a safari that has been truly been crafted with you in mind? We recommend our classic itineraries which include the main attractions. We go a step beyond and include some special and unique experiences that will transform a good holiday safari into a really memorable one with pace of travel – tailored to suit your needs. Our team of travel consultants is on hand to help you plan your dream holiday to East Africa to explore the stunning landscapes of Kenya and Tanzania. When planning your adventure you can choose from a wonderful range of tented camps, luxury lodges and boutique guest houses, and combine game drives through the region’s best national parks with cultural touring and a blissful beach break.
All of our East Africa tours are all inclusive and visit either the Masai Mara, Serengeti or both. Those wanting to concentrate on the migration in the Serengeti will like our Tanzania Wildlife Adventure safari package and if the migration in the Masai Mara is what you really want to see then Migration Special is for you. If however you want the ultimate East Africa safari then why not mix up the two on our Jambo KT Adventure which heads to both the Serengeti and Masai Mara!
Our Ambomara Special holiday safari spends 2 nights in the Masai Mara with lots of included game activity – so if you time it for the second half of the year from July through to October you could well see the migration in the Mara. African Wilderness Trail flies between the Masai Mara and the Serengeti as well as exploring lots of other great national parks in the region. Tanzania Highlights safari focuses on some of Tanzania’s best national parks including the migration in the Serengeti at the right time of year.
