Lake Mburo National Park is located in Kiruhura district of western Uganda 240 km southwest of Kampala. The park covers approximately 260 sq km and its landscape consists mainly of savannah and it also has four lakes in it.
Lake Mburo National Park offers great game viewing opportunities with a variety of large mammals present at the park. The park is home to large herds of elephants and buffalo as well as leopard, hyena, hippo, zebra and the rare impala.
The park also teems with birdlife making it a perfect destination for ornithologists. Popular varieties around the lakes include the Bronze-tailed starling, Marabour stork, Crowned Crane and bee-eaters.

Lake View Hotel in Mbarara offering rooms with private facilities, swimming pool and sports centre, situated on land with own private lake where Marabou storks flock.
Lake Mburo Luxury Tented Camp is the only luxury camp in the park.
